Dr. David Smith is pastor of Covenant Fellowship ARP Church in Greensboro, NC. He and his wife of 20 years have three very energetic and enjoyable children. His M. Div is from Covenant Seminary, and his Ph.D. in historical theology is from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is author of B. B. Warfield’s Scientifically Constructive Theological Scholarship (Wipf & Stock, 2011), which is part of the Evangelical Theological Society Monograph Series, and is co-author with Ron Hoch of Old School, New Clothes: The Cultural Blindness of Christian Education (Wipf & Stock, 2011). He is an organizing member of the Old Princeton Study Group in the Evangelical Theological Society. He has pastored in the PCA and ARP, and taught and coached in Christian schools for the past 20 years.
The Rev. Benjamin P. Glaser serves as the pastor of the Ellisville Presbyterian Church, ARP in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia and does have all his teeth. He has a wonderful wife, four kids, and a dog who loves him more than life itself. Rev. Glaser serves as the Parliamentarian of Mississippi Valley Presbytery, ARP and is the chairman of the Synod’s Theological and Social Concerns committee. Rev. Clint Davis (articles appearing by: poolsandpastures) has been pastor at Chester ARP Church since July 2004. After graduating from NC State University, he attended and graduated from Erskine Theological Seminary. He is the proud husband to Patti and the father of Sarah Grace. Clint enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching and playing sports (particularly golf), reading, running, and sending text messages. He was born and raised in Gastonia, NC.
Rev. Jeff Kingswood is pastor of Grace ARP in Woodstock, ON, Canada where he has served for 13 years. He is married to Joan and they have six grown children and an ever increasing number of grandchildren. Jeff has served on a number of committees and boards within the ARP and served as Moderator of the 209th General Synod. He also serves on the Board of the Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Rev. Dan Layman has been the Associate Pastor of Ambassador Presbyterian Church in Apex, NC since November 2010. Prior to being called to the ministry he was a lab rat, having served the Lord for eight years as a molecular biologist in both the public and private sectors. He did his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University and has a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. Dan is married to Megan and they have two young children, Abby Kate and Benjamin. He currently serves as the chairman of First Presbytery’s Committee on Candidates and Examinations, and when he has some free time he enjoys spending time with his family, teaching science, reading, music, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Rev. Tim Phillips is the pastor of Midlane Park Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY. He has served there since 2007, and he served previous as the pastor of Ebenezer ARP Church in Blue Mountain, MS. A former mathematics teacher, Tim received a M.Div. degree from Erskine Theological seminary in 2004 and a M.Th. degree from Campbellsville University in 2010. He has been an ordained minister in the ARP church since 2004. He is married to Anna, and they have one daughter (Grace), and are expecting twins in the spring of 2015.
